Megan wins bronze
Maccabi GB Young Sports person of the Year nomineed and talented judo player, Megan Moore, from Middlesex New Synagogue contested the British National Championships last weekend. Held at the Ice Arena in Sheffield, this 2 day event attracted 850 of the top junior players from all over the British Isles. Despite suffering from a recurring knee injury, Megan fought with huge determination to work her way through each bout, securing a well deserved bronze medal in the U48kg category.
This is the third consecutive year that Megan has reached the podium in the event. Combined with her third place at the recent Heart of England Championships in early September, Megan has attained enough national ranking points to secure, once again, her place in the Junior British Squad. Having competed very successfully in Holland in February, on behalf of the squad, Megan hopes to increase her international experience over the next year.
